What Wriggler records, and where the extra guidance begins

It is 2:47am. You have one hand free, the other is holding a baby, and you want to remember when the feed started. Wriggler's first job is straightforward: keep the record so you can put the phone down.

That part is free. Feeds, sleep, nappies, growth, medicines and milestones belong in the everyday tracker.

What goes into the record

You can log a feed as breast, bottle, formula or solids, adding an amount or duration when useful. Sleep can be timed live or entered afterwards. Nappies can include colour and consistency, and growth entries hold the measurements you record.

A log is only as complete as the entries in it. It tells you what was written down, not everything that happened, and it cannot establish whether your baby is well.

At an appointment, the record can help you describe the day without trying to reconstruct it from memory. The meaning of a particular feed, sleep or symptom belongs in the conversation with your child health nurse, GP or other clinician.

Where Premium adds more

The original version of this note said that Wriggler stops at showing the record. That no longer describes the whole app.

Premium adds wake predictions, optional AI insights, PDF export and caregiver sharing. The predictions use recent sleep records and supported age guidance. AI insights are a separate, optional feature: buying Premium does not switch them on. The authorised parent or guardian chooses whether to enable AI for the child.

Those features can help you review a record. They do not turn an app into someone who knows or examines your baby, and they are not medical advice.

The everyday part stays simple

You can keep using the free tracker without those additions. Log the feed, stop the timer, record the nappy. Choose warm dark mode when you want a darker screen.

By morning, the entries are there to look back on. Sometimes that is all you wanted the app to hold.
